Negative marking in APPSC examinations

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has permited the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission to introduce negative marks system in which each wrong answer will be penalized @ 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question, in all tests / examinations for direct recruitment to various categories of posts in the Government departments, where such tests / examinations are conducted through question papers containing objective type questions with multiple choice answers.
The negative marking system as ordered above will come into effect immediately and will be applicable to all the notifications for direct recruitment to be issued by APPSC. With this the candidates who guess the answers and putting one of the A B C Ds to all objective types questions will have the chance of foregoing the marks to the correct answers also. The candidates to have more concioous in attempting the objective type questions. The candidates are dviced to go through the descriptive type study material preferbaly standard Text Books. The Prof. Udaya Bhaskar Chairman APPSC had revealed that APPSC is suggesting all the aspirants to follow the Telugu Academy books and NCERT books and publications of standard institutions.
